2011 Holiday Portrait Event

We are offering 2 different Christmas themed sets this year. The first set a Merry and Bright Christmas is on November 19-20th and will be bright, modern and fun. Think bright pink, blue, purple and lime green. November 25-26th is our Country Christmas set featuring a rustic setting with berry wreath and twig trees. Both sets are great for children and/or families.

Sessions are 30 minutes and you'll have approximately 10-12 images to choose from. All collections come with 24 custom designed Christmas cards (postcard style w/envelopes). There is no session fee but you must pre-pay a collection to book your appointment.

First off, I'd to thank everyone who came out to the Van Buren County Fair this year and stopped by our booth to register for the FREE portrait session and prints (1-8x10; 2-5x7; 8-wallets / 1 pose). The winner of the session and prints is... okay, wait a sec, I have to a make a quick confession, I couldn't pick just one so I decided to give away 3 portrait sessions and print packages - that's right we have three lucky winners this year.

Congratulations to Karissa Marie Johnson, Makayla Mosley and Jan Vandygriff.

We had a great time at the Van Buren County Fair this year and enjoyed meeting lots of new friends and seeing old friends too. If you stopped by our booth you know we had 2 contests going on, the giveaway for the portrait session and prints and the guess the number of gumballs in the jar. Going through all the guesses I could see it was a pretty tight race with several people guessing very close to the actual number but there was one clear winner - Debi Cooley of Clinton guessed 312 and there are 309 gumballs in the jar. Congratulations Debi! I will be in touch with you later today.

It is very disappointing that there is no midway at the Van Buren County Fair this year but there's still a lot of other great stuff to see and do and with no admission fee and free parking - it's FREE fun for all! We do have our booth all set up and it is too cute (if I do say so myself), of course I couldn't have done it alone and need to thank my son Bobby and my parents Cathy and Don for all their help and support - Thank you guys, I love you!!! Boutique Babies - April 16th only. These are too cute and great for sitting up to 6 year old girly girls. The set is black and white with splashes of bold color in the pettiskirts, headpieces and jewelry provided by the studio.

Motorcycle Madness - May 6th & 7th. We provide the Harley jacket and child-sized motorcycle for this easy rider session. Wear your jeans and white tee - don't forget your boots and doo-rag if you have them. Must be sitting up unassisted to age 6 - great for boys and girls.

Tutus and Teddy Bears - May 20 & 21. We provide the pretty pink tutus for the girls, boys should wear jeans and a plain tee or better yet - shirtless, babies look great naked or with a simple diaper cover. Great for newborn to 6 years old.

Gone Fishing! - June 17 & 18. An all-time favorite for boys and girls. This year we're adding real water and fish, oh what fun! Wear your favorite denim overalls and we'll provide the fishing pole! Sitting up to age 6.

Hood Ornaments

I stopped by the Archey Fork Summer Festival in Clinton this morning for a quick look around the car show and to play with my new lens. All the cars weren't there yet but boy were there some great cars, trucks and motorcycles already lining up for the show. Kris Allen - American Idol's Homecoming

I got the opportunity to photograph Kris Allen - American Idol's Homecoming Parade and Concert in Conway on Friday. Kris performed 3 concerts (1 in Little Rock and 2 in Conway). The parade and outdoor concert in downtown Conway brought in a huge crowd of 20,000 adoring fans, easily filling Simon Park and side streets throughout downtown. Here are a few of my faves so far - I have tons of images to go through! It was a Kick Awesome time!
